Nike Is Feeling The Caitlin Clark Effect With Upcoming T-Shirt Release

A new milestone in Clark's Nike sponsorship.

Nike Is Feeling The Caitlin Clark Effect With Upcoming T-Shirt Release

Amid a whirlwind WNBA rookie season and its resulting media frenzy, Caitlin Clark is finally getting a break. As the USA women’s team vies for gold in Paris, the W’s season is now on hiatus until the games’ conclusion, leaving the Indiana phenom with a brief respite before the action picks up once again. Conversely, it seems like Nike is getting busy behind the scenes, as we’re getting a first look at official Caitlin Clark merch expected to land soon.

While of course official team apparel has been on offer the whole time, this marks the first glimpse into Nike’s marketing push around the Fever superstar. Capitalizing on a tagline already bandied about plenty in sports media is a shrewd move, alluding to the increased attention surrounding the W in the wake of her (and Angel Reese’s) entrance into the league.

Circling back to our main journalistic focus, Clark earned her first official PE colorway just days ago, a buzzy yet unsurprising development given her well-publicized proclivity for the Nike Kobe 5 & Kobe 6. Given Clark has only been a Nike athlete for a matter of months, the Caitlin 1 is surely a ways away, but there’s no doubt that each passing day until its official announcements adds to red-hot anticipation.

This “Caitlin Clark” effect tee doesn’t have a concrete release date, but is expected to hit Nike.com and associated channels soon in both women’s and men’s sizing.
