Nike’s making headlines yet again on the baseball diamond as another notable individual threw their own ceremonial first pitch in some eye-catching Swoosh kicks. First was Ludacris taking the mound in Atlanta wearing gigantic Air Force 1s, a nod to his iconic music video from two decades ago. Now, Nike athlete and Team USA gymnast Jordan Chiles called and raised with a brand new, never-before-seen Air Max shoe that even Nike doesn’t have a name for yet. (Update: the shoe is called the Air Max Muse).

Chiles was the guest of honor during the Friday evening game between the host New York Mets and visiting Cincinnati Reds on September 6th. Donning the Mets’ alternate uniforms, a black skirt, and silver/black sneakers, Jordan delivered the throw just a tad short and outside to Mets outfielder Tyrone Taylor.
The sneaker features a silver/black upper with what appears to be the same Air Max midsole as the recently released Air Max Portal. The tongue features a brand new “AM” logo that hasn’t appeared on any other Nike Air Max model thus far.
Sneaker News reached out to Nike representatives for more information on the shoes. As of now, the sneaker does not yet have a name.
