Patta makes a strong case for being one of the best Nike Air Max 1 collaborators of all time. 2009’s “Chlorophyll” and “Purple Denim” colorways are both grails in their own right, and their line of “Wave” AM1s from 2021-22 had the sneaker game in a chokehold for a brief moment in time. While that silhouette has borne plenty of success, the next Patta x Nike shoe will feature a different Tinker Hatfield banger; the Air Max 90.

According to @bubblekoppe, the Patta x Air Max 90 will hone in on the “Wave” theme seen on their aforementioned Air Max 1s from a couple years back. On top of a projected mid-2025 release, that’s about all the info available at this early stage.

Importantly, the Air Max 90 was the subject of Patta’s first ever sneaker collaboration in 2006. Released hand in hand with the launch of Homegrown/State Magazine, Patta took inspiration from Amsterdam’s 420 culture with an almost all-green design with orange accents. Nearly two decades later, it’s still thought of as one of the best Air Max 90 collabs of all time.

There’s a chance the “Homegrown” colorway could inform the 2025 “Wave” release, but again, it will take some time for the full scope of the project to materialize. In any case, know that this article as well as our Sneaker Release Dates hub will display all the most recent drop details and images as they arrive.
