The Air Jordan 1 “Satin Shadow” releases on October 5th in family sizing with a price breakdown as follows: adult ($180), grade school ($85) & toddler ($70.) A shoe that delivers exactly what’s in its title, this AJ1 colorway takes the iconic OG black & grey formulation from 1985 and brings it a premium overhaul, draping the full upper in shining luxe material.

The pair will release via SNKRS, but retailers like Extra Butter, Sneaker Politics and Concepts will be hosting their own launches alongside. While it doesn’t carry the same sub-head, this is an unofficial entry into the “Reimagined” canon. It follows up the material changes of the “Royal Reimagined” in 2023 and sliding in alongside a myriad of similar takes in black & red, from the “Satin Bred” that same year and the “Bred Patent” in 2021. Additionally, the “Satin Shadow” Jordan 1 unleashes a mainline alternative to the Alelia May collaboration from 2017, obviously retaining the heavy application of the silken fabric but simplifying or eschewing some of the finer touches on that pair.
