Central Cee has some opinions about sneaker culture. The chronically online have probably seen clips from his sneaker shopping video with Kick Game by now, where the UK rapper grappled with consumerism and called a pair of Union x Jordan 1s “horrid.” To put it simply, Cee champions the idea of wearing what you like and not getting caught up with what gatekeepers say is valid. Needless to say, there’s been considerable anticipation for what his first ever Nike collaboration will look like.

The image above comes to us from a video posted by Central Cee on Instagram, affording us our first look at his Air Max 95 slated to release in short order. Technically a collaboration with Cee’s streetwear brand Syna World, the shoe features “Cool Grey” nubuck sidewalls and “Metallic Red Bronze” on the mini Swooosh, backtab, eyelets, tongue, and Air units. Moreover, the shoe comes with two metal hang tags to match. One features the graffiti-style Syna logo, while the other reads “Live Yours,” Cee’s personal motto and the title of one of his songs.

Central Cee’s inaugural Nike collaboration will undoubtedly be met with scrutiny given his aforementioned viral moments, but again, the man simply made a sneaker that suits his style. He’s a big fan of Nike Tech fleeces, and a grey Air Max 95 suits them perfectly. While rather simplistic in nature, it’s worth noting that some of the highly sought-after Corteiz x Air Max 95s feature comparable grey/black treatments (see the Tour Yellow Corteiz Air Max 95 dropping later this year).
