Nike has been steadily revisiting its backlog this decade, debuting the SNKRS Preview series simultaneously to give Swoosh devotees an early look at what’s coming down the pike. Following retro efforts for the Pegasus 2K5, Air Max Sunder and Air Max 180 (among many others), the Air Max TL 2.5’s moment is upon us.

As we’ve seen with the push behind some of those models mentioned above, this marks an OG-adjacent colorway, iterating on a white/navy look released in 2008 during the TL 2.5’s original time on the shelves. The foremost distinction that sets this 2025 edition apart is the injection of “University Blue” on the Swoosh and the new thin “Hyper Royal” layers underneath. However, the wavy marine overlays and staid white fabric base align with both current mesh runner aesthetics and the original outfit.

The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 “Obsidian” lands Spring 2025, retailing for $180. Enjoy a bonus gallery of retailer shots below, and keep this page handy as the release nears for direct pick-up links.
