Jordan Brand’s 2025 is a pivotal one. Not only is it the 40th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, but the Jumpman is recognizing that, despite rising annual revenue, they’re slowly losing the connection with the original community that helped build the culture in the first place. Just like how Nike reached a fragile period due to over-indulgence of Dunks, Air Force 1s, and other classics, Jordan Brand is potentially in danger of reaching that same tipping point.
That’s why Jordan Brand’s 2025 release line-up is as astounding as it is. They are truly pulling no punches when it comes to commanding our attention and eventually our hard-earned money. Some of the most anticipated sneakers of next year are dropping in the first quarter, including the recently postponed Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined”, the Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Bred”, and the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat”. Due to some heavy product traffic, Jordan Brand is apparently shifting a number of Spring 2025 releases into the Summer and potential even later.
According to @brandon1an, the Union Air Jordan 1, Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, the Air Jordan 4 “Rare Air”, and two Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air” drops are indefinitely pushed back to the second quarter of 2025. All of the above were slated to drop in February and March, but are now expected at a later undisclosed date.
