The New Balance 9060 Cleans Up In “Rain Cloud”

With sneakerheads starting to settle into their fall rotations, the New Balance 9060 stands out as a solid addition. While the hybrid shoe doesn’t boast weatherproofing tech found in the “gorpcore” niche, its chunky, stabilizing sole makes it suitable for tacking wet leaves and other trying surface conditions. What’s more is that New Balance has several season-appropriate colorways that are available now online; this “Rain Cloud” look being the latest.

Official images showcase another tonal arrangement with light shades of grey enveloping almost the entire shoe. The only non-monochrome treatments appear around the New Balance logo and rear portion of the midsole, both of which incorporate “Quarry Blue” accents. Compositionally, the shoe features nubuck overlays and breathable mesh at the base, prioritizing durability and ruggedness where other colorways opt for suede.

As mentioned, the New Balance 9060 “Rain Cloud” is available now online for $150. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links if you’re moved to cop a pair.

Sticking with the brand at hand, the New Balance 550 continues to surface in new colorways.
