Nike Air Max 90 “Volcano” Releases On February 23rd

Nike isn’t afraid to go outside the box when it comes to sneaker design, be it through hybrid models like the new Air Max Waffle Racer or playful, embellished takes on established classics. Come 2025, the Beaverton brand will release one of the more eccentric Air Max 90s we’ve seen in recent memory; a “Volcano” colorway featuring the colors and texture of lava.

The entire upper is outfitted in textured material inspired by molten rock, complete with chalked yellow edges to distinguish one panel from another. The Swoosh and heel “Nike Air” patch appear in lava-esque orange canvas with black detailing, while the rest of the upper features black treatments alone. The tongue tag and Air bubbles underfoot come in orange and yellow, respectively, while a fiery graphic dots the insoles to cap off the delivery.

The Air Max 90 “Volcano” is currently set to release February 23rd, 2025 for $140 in men’s sizing. See official images below if you’re looking to cop a pair.
