The 2023 off-season brought one of the most iconic moments in James Harden’s off-court career. During a country-wide China tour, the former MVP appeared on a livestream alongside Crazy Brother Yang. After the social media personality nudged viewers, Harden witnessed firsthand the potential of the overseas market, with 5,000 orders then placed in the span of about 15 seconds. A shade over a year later, the Beard’s adidas Harden Vol. 8 odes to both his spirits brand and that moment with a “Red Blend” colorway.
Initially reported as a “South Beach” colorway, the shoe still showcases that neon-tinged tonality. However, it’s earnestly derived from the “Red Blend” vintage from the superstar’s J-Harden Wines venture. An identically shaded floral print is inset into a silhouette of Harden’s face on the bottle, replicated on the insoles here with his signature under the footbed. Further down, the “JH” monogram traction takes on the tropical concept in the center of the outsole. To close out with the shoe’s broadest strokes, the teardrop EVA cage goes bright pink, while the inner bootie and very tip of the shoe embrace jet black.
As mentioned towards the top, the adidas Harden Vol. 8 “Red Blend” releases on November 15th, retailing for $160. Check out some updated product shots ahead, and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for direct pick-up links upon arrival.
Elsewhere for the Three Stripes, the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 continues to add new colorways as we enter the bulk of the Holiday season.
