The Nike Air Max Sunder “Obscura” is inspired by the winter darkness of the Nordic region. It features a modified upper with a mesh screen above a graphic pattern that expresses the chilly weather of the area. Available 11/22 exclusively at select retailers (see the Where To Buy section below).

As the retro effort behind the Nike Air Max Sunder draws on, it’s getting a chance to finally spread its wings. While the Kids Of Immigrants Air Max Sunder represents the most considerable divergence on the silhouette yet, don’t sleep on the Swoosh’s ability to spice things up with inline releases as well.
Case in point, the Nike Air Max Sunder “Phantom,” just revealed via retail shots. Up front, note the switch from neoprene textile to translucent mesh, a shading mirrored on the ventilation panels that continue to define the model. Underneath the new sheer material, you can spot a variety of geometric patterns, almost echoing that aforementioned collab with scattered, intersecting line-work. In terms of overall hues, the shoe opts to keep the new hardware touches as the chief focus, venturing towards conservative territory with a blend of “Phantom” grey and jet black, the latter taking over the edges of the shoe via the sole unit and nubuck heel swatch.
The Nike Air Max Sunder “Phantom” releases on November 22nd, exclusively in women’s sizing. Retail pricing isn’t confirmed, but previous mainline Air Max Sunder colorways have commanded a $180 sticker price. Don’t be shocked if there’s a slight premium on that number, given the additional detailing on this edition.
