Continuing a precedent set in 2002, Nike will soon celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year with a “Year Of The Snake” collection made up of longstanding lifestyle classics. As we creep closer to late January, we’re starting to get a glimpse at some of the releases on tap. Next up is another serpentine Dunk Low, shown here via official retailer images.
While the shoe features some unmistakable “Year Of The Snake” cues, including a red snakeskin tongue and snake-inspired lining, the heart of the design strikes as more ambiguous. Olive-colored leather makes up the toe box, quarter, and collar sections, balanced out by white nubuck overlays. The Swoosh and backtab boast a slight metallic green tint, the former of which gets accentuated by red stitching on the lateral side.
This marks the second Year Of The Snake Dunk we’ve seen thus far, arriving on the heels of a grade school edition of similar vein. The most significant “Year Of The Snake” release of 2025, by far, will be the Kobe 5 Year Of The Mamba, currently poised to drop next February in two colorways.
Circling back to the sneaker at hand, the Dunk Low “Year Of The Snake” for adults will release during the Spring 2025 shopping season (likely in late January/early February). See official retailers images below.
