As mentioned above, the Jordan 4 “Fear” originally released in 2013 as part of a “Fear Pack” that also featured a Jordan 3 and Jordan 5. The “Fear” theme alludes to Michael Jordan’s competitiveness and drive, made evident on insoles reading “I’m scared of what I won’t become” and “you’re scared of what I will become.”

Eleven years later, the Fear Jordan 4 is still well regarded as the crown jewel of that trio (at least according to aftermarket prices). The shoe features a greyscale mix of black and grey nubuck up top, contrasted by white hits on the lining, eyestays, and heel Jumpman logo. Underfoot, the shoe stands out by way of a black midsole with white paint splatter.

Although not yet confirmed, this likely marks the midpoint of a slow and steady Jordan “Fear Pack” revival. The Jordan 3 retro’d in 2023, and with the AJ4 coming in 2024, all indications suggest the Jordan 5 Fear will return to shelves in 2025.

Again, the Jordan 4 “Fear” releases November 16th, 2024 via Nike SNKRS and retailers. Take advantage of our “Where To Buy” section for purchase links and visit our Jordan Release Dates page to preview more upcoming Jumpman deliveries.
