Nike’s corporate shake-up at the CEO position coincided with an internal shift back to innovation, aiming to leave the over-reliance on legacy models like the Air Force 1, Dunk and Air Jordan 1 in the past for the Swoosh’s next chapter. As we stare down the start of 2025, there’s plenty of it to be had in the “visible air” vertical, from the women’s Air Max Muse to the unisex Air Max DN8, this year’s choice for the March brand holiday bearing the category’s name.
While we had gotten a detailed sense for what the silhouette is centered around via early retailer images, the “Panda” colorway marks the first time in the model’s short history we’ve seen official Nike shots. In broad strokes, our understanding of the silhouette remains unchanged; eight visible Air chambers underfoot build off the “Dynamic Air” prompt of the Air Max Dn, a sequel atmosphere furthered by a similar outsole and the return of Tn-esque branding. However, some of the closing images uncovered here elucidate fresh peripheral details. As shown just ahead, reflective 3M detailing dots around the laces, and brand-new packaging mirroring the striped arrangement on the shoe itself make their first appearances.
It’s unclear whether this will be the very first do-up of the DN8 to hit shelves, but it’s more than likely that this will be among the debut colorways for the nascent model. The Nike Air Max DN8, this “Panda” colorway included, are widely expected to release as the centerpiece of the 2025 Air Max Day festivities. A retail price of $160 is also projected for the model.
