After gracing the New Balance 9060 to explosive results, the Boston brand is keeping the “Black Cat” energy going. Next up to take on the nocturnal theme is the New Balance 1000, sporting some material changes after making a strong first impression in 2024.
Sneakerheads at large should know what to expect when the “Black Cat” title is evoked; the New Balance 1000 adapts jet black essentially from head to toe, only slightly interrupted with a dark grey midsole and “N” logo, and some near-reflective white branding on the tongue. While previous pairs utilized suede on the mudguard, this marks one of the first pairs of the New Balance 1000 with a full treatment of it on the upper, something only the KITH collab from October 2024 presents a comparison for.
Look for the New Balance 1000 “Black Cat” on shelves this Spring, retailing for $150.
