While the Samba isn’t in danger of falling out of favor any time soon, the adidas Superstar appears set for a big 2025; JJJJound, CLOT and the Minecraft universe have descended on the icon just in Q1, with a range of mainline colorways to follow. A pelleted edition that just surfaced via adidas.com threads the needle between the two, bearing no outside partners but still carrying the premium atmosphere all the same.
Sheer synthetics take over the foundation on the lateral side, with the central beaded design entirely draping that half of that shoe. Always willing to take risks with their brandings, the Three Stripes appear out of this synthetic woven pattern, with a shimmering finish carried through the jet black sections. Zooming out from that portion, the colorway remains true to the Superstar’s history, still executing the beloved black and white that made it a street icon in the 1980s and beyond. Indeed, the leather build of the shoe persists when you flip over to the lateral side, keeping the main draw of this shoe restricted to just the outside face.
This beaded adidas Superstar in black/white is set to release on February 6th — as promised in the title, it will carry a $250 retail premium upon arrival. Keep our “Where To Buy” section handy for direct purchase links upon release.
