Satou Sabally Signs With adidas Basketball

From the Jumpman to the Three Stripes. adidas just announced the signing of multiple-time All-Star Satou Sabally to their women’s basketball roster.

The swap from Beaverton to Germany comes after nearly four years with the Jumpman, a period perhaps most known for the public release of the Air Jordan 37 “Satou.” By stepping to Hamburg, Sabally joins current WNBA phenoms like Aliyah Boston, Chelsea Grey, and Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike, as well as their first NIL signing, Kaleena Smith. This adds to the lattermost move as an impressive spate of signings for adidas Women’s Basketball President Candace Parker, announced to the role in May 2024.

The news comes as Sabally unquestionably enters a new chapter of her career, one of the most notable free agents in the 2025 class, after announcing her intentions to move on from the Dallas Wings, a franchise that drafted her #2 overall and that she spent the ensuing five years with. Additionally, Sabally stands as one of the defining faces in the ongoing inaugural Unrivaled season, a Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier-founded venture seeking to further the impact of women’s basketball stateside, eliminating the need for female hoopers to spend their offseasons in overseas leagues.
