The adidas Harden Vol. 9 “Pearlized” Releases On February 22nd

The LA Clippers are alive in well in the Western Conference, exiting the All-Star break in playoff position despite a tumultuous off-season. A large portion of what’s kept them afloat so far has been the enduring play of James Harden, the offensive engine that’s helped counterbalance a top two defense in the league. Since mid-December he’s done so in style, suiting up night-to-night in his brand new adidas Harden Vol. 9, now letting loose its second public colorway in “Cloud White.”

The same futuristic, molded aesthetics that coated the Harden Vol. 8 and continue to run through the adidas Hoops catalog generally remain intact for this sequel effort, defined by the curved Three Stripes cut-outs in the synthetic outer shroud. As you’ll spot in the images below, largely the traction pattern underfoot remains the same, most prominently changed by the circular zone at the forefoot shifting towards the midline. Additionally, a similar cushioning package comprised of BOOST and Lightstrike stays in place.

After sorting through those hardware aspects, the colorway at work here is pretty easily digestible. “Pearlized” white and a black inner bootie takes up the upper, while partially translucent off-white and a flash of “Screaming Green” down the sole execute the underfoot arrangement. The adidas Harden Vol. 9 “Pearlized” releases on February 22nd via adidas.com and partnering retailers, commanding a $160 retail price.
