Nike Book 1 “Son Of Moss Point” PE Covered In Tiger Stripes

A nod to his High School days.

Nike Book 1 “Son Of Moss Point” PE Covered In Tiger Stripes

Moss Point has played a crucial role in not only the development of Devin Booker’s game, but also the storytelling behind some of the Suns superstar’s footwear concepts with Nike. It inspired a collaborative Air Force 1 Low design, which later made its way onto one of the earliest Nike Book 1 Player Exclusives, proving just how significant that time period is to Booker’s life.

This second iteration of the Moss Point PE adds an additional layer by simultaneously honoring his father Melvin, himself a Moss Point graduate as well as NBA player. This “Son Of Moss Point” draws in the school’s tiger mascot as the entire upper is upholstered in an orange/black striped pattern. A light blue border outlines the Swoosh logo, while a translucent icy outsole and white midsole add a burst of freshness and simplicity.

The tiger also has some additional peripheral connections with Devin; his favorite MLB team is the Detroit Tigers, and his father Melvin played college hoops at Mizzou where the tiger is also the team mascot.

Look out for Devin to lace these up during the Suns/Lakers game on March 16th.
