We’re back in the thick of it with the Air Max 95. Big bubble releases have become an incredibly common site in the week or so leading up to this writing, perhaps some serendipitous timing as our attention turns to the Air Max Day 2025 celebration. Up next is a “Wolf Grey” edition of the Air Max 95 that leans into a tonal overall look, set to land as a part of the ongoing SS25 slate.
You certainly won’t mistake this for the iconic “Neon” or any of its gradient-laden offshoots, but the heavy use of grey still pins this as an adjacent look all the same, undoubtedly made an easier comparison given the updated shape that continues to pace recent looks. With various shades of light grey taking up the entire shoe, the true depth in the design instead derives from the mixed media on the AM95 waves: diamond-shaped mesh, textured leather and nubuck are the choice on the sidewalls, lending some much-needed texture to an arrangement that’s otherwise largely one-note.
A concrete release date for the Nike Air Max 95 “Wolf Grey” and the other AM95 colorways that have surfaced so far hasn’t yet been revealed, but generally speaking, they should be coming in time for Summer 2025. Be ready for a $185 retail price upon arrival.
