South Korea’s Thug Club Has An adidas Superstar Collaboration Launching In May

Thug Club has been leading the progressive streetwear movement in South Korea, combining its affinity for grunge with trending style movements that include the cowboy aesthetic and even medieval suiting. Already carving out a significant fanbase outside the peninsula, Thug Club now takes aim at global recognition with their first-ever collaboration with adidas Originals.

First going viral with their own customized adaptations of the classic track jackets, Thug Club is bringing its talents to an official level as a full-fledged capsule that is slowly beginning to make its rounds on social media. Featured in the collection is a track suit, cargo pants, hats, and more defined by faded olive drab and burnished hardware to achieve that true surplus appeal.

Our eyes are on this bold take on the adidas Superstar, adding an bold adaptation of the “shell-toe” on the iconic lifestyle shoe. Thug Club accentuates the natural lines of the rubberized toe, siping the outward grooves to create sharp edges that befit the brand’s logo. Their iconic “t” appears via perforation in between the upper stripes as well as on the tongue to finalize the cooperative project.

A release is currently expected for May 13th, 2025; an official announcement from adidas Originals.
