With NB’s Grey Days celebration fast approaching, there’s unquestionably a focus on the “newness” in their roster, including models like the New Balance 2010, New Balance 933, and further down the line, the New Balance 2000. However, while those “shiny new toys” may be the more exciting propositions, it’s also a moment where the brand will lift up their established faces. The New Balance 9060 is a key part of that, separating from that greyscale pack with a “New Spruce” edition landing soon.

We’ve probably said it countless times at this point, but our expectations for the New Balance 9060 anything from the Boston brand tend towards the neutral side of the color wheel. Even if off-white makes notable appearances in the trim, taking over the midsole and interior, the star of the shoe is the titular “New Spruce.” It’s a fitting time to deliver this counterpunch, sliding in as an energetic embrace of the changing seasons on a model that’s still very much in vogue.
