Riccardo Tisci Adds Removable Ankle Cuffs To His Nike Shox TL Collaboration

After testing the waters with a handbag collaboration earlier this year, the Riccardo Tisci x Nike reunion is now making its way back to footwear. Once one of the most prominent and distinguishable Nike collaborators of the 2010s, the former Givenchy and Burberry designer is re-entering the sneaker space with a neck-breaking Nike Shox TL style.

Nike Shox sneakers are new territory for the Italian designer, with Tisci being best know for his work on models like the Air Force 1, Dunk High, and Nike Presto. As shown above, the highlight is set of detachable ankle cuffs that can be affixed to the heel. The cuffs match the tooling of the Shox TL itself, taken with the same TPU “overlays” and even a lacing system up front. Text reading “Tisci” appears on the tongue, while the designer’s signature co-branded logo appears as a set of metallic silver lace dubraes. Two colorways are on tap, led by a black/red/white style featuring a reptilian pattern, pebbled leather, and multicolored laces. The other features the same reptilian pattern in black/grey, lending a somewhat more tame aesthetic with matte material.

Both Riccardo Tisci x Nike Shox TLs are available now via FWRD, retailing for $180 in women’s sizes. See our Where To Buy section below to cop.
