Clearly standing among the hottest names in fashion at the moment, the California designer’s inaugural collection releases on May 14th, bringing in a dressy, pointed toe take on the basketball model, as well as a more conventional take featured here, the Willy Chavarria adidas Jabbar Lo proper.
While the form of the shoe remains largely consistent with mainline editions (condensed toebox, rubber toe-cap, leather construction), you can immediately clock the central change that Chavarria makes, including a Samba-like folded tongue that sits askew on the profile. On a visual level, the black and red tonality that takes over this shoe further course through the rest of the apparel options, purposefully attached to one another with the same May 14th date despite the dressier options landing on May 9th.
