Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” To Come In Shattered Shoeboxes

Updated May 30th, 2025: The Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” will come packaged in a special edition “Shattered” shoebox. The release date stands at August 23rd, 2025 in full family sizes. Given Nike, Inc.’s price increases, this Air Jordan 1 could be priced at $185 instead of the usual $180.

We have good news and bad news. The good; official retailer images of the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” retro have surfaced, affording us one of our most detailed looks to date. The bad; the sneaker’s release date has been pushed back from July 12th to August 23rd.

If you’re disappointed, remind yourself that the “Shattered Backboard” 1s are better for autumn anyways. All the makings of the original 2015 release are present here, including the same “Black/Starfish/Sail” color blocking, tumbled leather material, and custom insoles. The gallery below shows a smaller-than-usual Wings logo, but that’s likely because the pictured sneaker is a smaller size. We unpacked detailed images that showed larger Wings logos earlier this month.

As mentioned, the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” retro is now scheduled to release August 23rd, 2025. Full family sizes will be available, priced at $180 for adults. See official retailer images below and visit our Jordan Release Dates 2025 page to preview more upcoming pairs.
