Surely Jordan Brand had hopes that Doncic himself would have the chance to sport his Luka 4 and Luka .77 on-court at this point in the calendar, but the excitement surrounding his latest signature and first outdoor shoe remains all the same. With the summer bringing a number of the Jumpman’s key hoops events, it offers up an opportunity to place their latest innovations in the spotlight. The emergence of the Luka .77 and Luka 4 “Quai 54” demonstrated that Beaverton is more than willing to meet the moment, again on display with the Luka .77 “Dongdan.”
While any of the neutral fare that’s hit the newswire so far this year has been impressive, the Luka .77 succeeds in meshing with the actual event, matching its concrete court purpose with mainland China’s premier tournament in the elements. As of yet, official word on what exactly spurred the naturalistic turn for all of the 2025 Dongdan inclusions (Air Jordan 13 Low, Jordan 1 Low, etc.), but Doncic’s silhouette does an admirable job in embracing it: a rust pink upper meets a woody patterned sock-liner and a variety of neutral tones for a suitable bridge between vibrant and understated. As all of its peers do, the shoe also includes ropes in a requisite dose of “Dongdan” branding, seen clearest with the tongue tag on the left shoe.
The Jordan Luka .77 “Dongdan” will more than likely remain a China exclusive release, landing sometime in the coming weeks as the tip-off of the tournament itself draws closer. If, by some surprise, the shoe comes stateside, we’ll keep this page and our Jordan Release Dates page updated with current information.
