Andrew Rizzo The first adidas x Fear Of God Athletics basketball sneaker was a flop, but Jerry Lorenzo answered the critics with an actual court-worthy model in late 2024. The Basketball II is by all definitions a true upgrade from its predecessor, taken with a Lightstrike midsole, TPU shank, and layered upper in-line with Lorenzo’s established design aesthetic. Following “Night Brown” and “Putty Beige” releases, the model is continuing its run with “Ash Pearl” on June 7th.
Mid and high-top Basketball II heights are included, the latter of which features an ankle strap for added stability. True to FOG’s design ethos, both versions dress in lowkey, monochromatic makeup. The materials are the exact same as preceding releases, with a thin, soft suede layer resting atop a more sturdy mesh fabric.
The adidas Fear Of God Basketball II “Ash Pearl” is slated to release June 7th via adidas CONFIRMED and select retailers, priced at $200 for the high and $180 for the mid. See official images below if you’re considering picking up a pair.
