Isabel Marant And Converse Want To Make Sneaker Wedges Hot Again

Another trend of the past comes storming back.

Isabel Marant And Converse Want To Make Sneaker Wedges Hot Again

When discussing the explosion of the women’s sneaker business. Isabel Marant‘s name doesn’t come up enough. In the 2010s, the French designer presented one of the most polarizing (and popular ) shoe designs in history with the Bekett, a high-stop sneaker with a wedge hidden inside the sole. Once Beyonce rocked ’em, the rest was history; fashion houses began mimicking the style, while sportswear giants like Nike and Jordan profferred the Dunk Sky High wedge long before the men jumped on the wagon in the late 2010s.

With the help of Converse, Marant is looking to make sneaker wedges the next revived trend in footwear. Their upcoming collaboration is highlighted by the Chuck 70, one of which features the clandestine wedge embedded into the sole to create a nostalgic take on the All-Star model. Standard Chuck 70s in the High and Ox also join in, with the latter model features the icon logo on the upper. Bandana scarf prints are seen throughout the entire collection.

The entire Isabel Marant x Converse collection is scheduled to launch on June 3rd on IsabelMarant.com and on June 5th, 2025 on Converse; see below for direct purchase links and pricing information.
