Ever since news broke about Nike’s plan to roll back production of staple models like the AF1 or Dunk, we’ve been paying close attention to exactly how many new looks for each hit the wire. It’s certainly not backed by hard science, but even if those specific models remain frequent sights, the amount of Air Jordan 1 Low looks has seemingly slowed a bit, helping to make new iterations feel all the more special.

For the Air Jordan 1 Low at hand, special is an official term, boasting SE construction in a steely distressed variation suddenly appearing via retailer shots. Textured fabric replaces the traditional leather overlays, ripped and frayed in their trim and mirrored by a double-ply Swoosh that injects contrast green coloring into the mix. While the deconstructed atmosphere permeates the whole shoe, it’s arguably most impactful on the heel, where the traditional Wings branding and the fabric strip that ties the Swooshes together sport heavily frayed textures.

This Air Jordan 1 Low SE has already started surfacing via overseas retailers — expect a wider global launch in the coming weeks for $110. Keep our Jordan Release Dates page to stay in the loop regarding this pair.
