The idea of a pearl being protected by an outer shell served as the design focus of A’ja Wilson’s Nike A’One. It was only a matter of time before Nike took the literal approach and added oyster shell details to a release, and we’re finally seeing it in practice with this upcoming GS-exclusive release.

Added atop a strong month of July releases that include the A’One “Unapologetic” and the kids-only “Her Time To Shine” is this fiery colorway that fades yellow to orange on the layered construction of the upper. A purposeful black appears on the lace collar that tracks down to the heel, boasting the elegant swirls and non-uniform pattern often seen on the interior of an oyster. The precious pearl appears via the oval-shaped piece on the midsole, itself colored in a soft pearl white.

It’s not entirely clear if this colorway will be offered in adult sizes, but we’ll be sure to update further details and release info. For now, enjoy a look at the official images ahead.
