Another “Panda” Air Jordan 1 Low? Look Closer…

A subtle tweak to the everlasting formula.

Another “Panda” Air Jordan 1 Low? Look Closer…

Is the Panda craze back on the menu? Recent weeks have seen the once-inescapable moniker come back into the spotlight, both in its original pandemic-era use with the series of “Panda” Dunk drops and in more abstract applications, as the Three Stripes sought to get in on the action with their own animated version of events. It’ll be tough for anyone to recapture just how inescapable the ursine nickname was, at one point reaching a level of ubiquity where it even pushed onto OG looks for the Air Jordan 1.

Indeed, a certain slice of hobbyists will easier recognize 1985’s “Black/White” as the Air Jordan 1 “Panda,” a simple calculation for the younger demo and near-heresy for the older generation. As one of the easiest styled color combination, it’s no wonder that Jordan Brand has kept various versions in rotation in the years since. While at first glance, the Air Jordan 1 Low at hand is another one in that crowd, Beaverton designer deploy a formal tweak to the layout, pinning brown on the collar, Swoosh, and heel embroidery for an additional dose of refinement. Despite the new tri-tone arrangement, these should be just as easily reached for should you add them to the collection, possibly carrying an additional use for classier environments as well.

As a true blue GR, the Air Jordan 1 in black, white, and brown should hit Nike.com sometime in the near future, arriving without much advance warning. Be ready for a $120 MSRP once it does. Stay up to date on this edition and any upcoming Jumpman drops via our Jordan Release Dates page.
