The Nike SB PS8 “Light Khaki” Mixes Things Up With Hairy Suede

A new texture lands on the next-gen skate shoe.

The Nike SB PS8 “Light Khaki” Mixes Things Up With Hairy Suede

The Nike SB PS8 was touted as Nike’s next big skate shoe when it was unveiled at the brand’s On Air expo in Paris last year, and while not necessarily a model that will make headlines, skaters have had pretty solid feedback to report thus far. As the sneaker enjoys another season on shelves, Nike is looking past summer and straight through to autumn with a “Light Khaki” colorway that brings a new texture into the fold.

The PS8 has exclusively featured leather overlays to this point, but this newly-released pair switches things up with hairy suede on the toe, heel, and eyelet panels. A lightweight Flyknit upper lives one layer down, joined by a rubber cupsole and updated Flyplate for top-tier responsiveness. The PS8 is a performance skate shoe at its core, but we’d remiss to ignore its viability for lifestyle wear. It’s got an agreeable low-top silhouette akin to that of the Nike Air 180, and this “Light Khaki/Black” colorway slots effortlessly into a ton of different ‘fits.

The Nike SB PS8 “Light Khaki/Black” is available now via Nike and skate shops, priced at $120. See our Where To Buy section below for purchase links.
