Original article published August 11th, 2025:

There’s no denying the Y2K wave has taken some shine away from Nike’s stable of 90s-era Air Max models. Classics like the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and Air Max Plus – all popular daily drivers not too long ago – have seen many would-be buyers shift to sleeker 2000s silos by brands like ASICS and New Balance. Even still, these icons remain fixtures on shelves and consistent sellers among their most loyal fans.

For Fall 2025, the Air Max Plus is taking up a low-key “Iron Grey” colorway featuring some subtle “Wild Grape” hits. The purple accent hue appears on the Swoosh as well as an added layer of piping along the mudguard/heel, with both areas glistening in a reflective finish (as seen in the gallery below). Otherwise, the titular “Iron Grey” color looms over pretty much the entire sneaker.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Iron Grey/Wild Grape” releases Fall 2025, priced at $200. See official images below if these might contend for a spot in your rotation.
