First things first; we’re sincerely glad that Nike’s lawsuit against Edison Chen is for $126 thousand rather than $126 million (as initially thought due to a clerical error). While the actual figure isn’t an insignificant amount, it’s more of a speed bump and far from a creative roadblock. Some good legal work should get things cleared up quickly and allow Edison to focus on what’s actually important; his ongoing creative projects with adidas.

Here we have a detailed look at Edison Chen’s latest CLOT x adidas release; a purple Superstar Breathe dropping exclusively through Chen’s JUICESTORE on August 15th. This version of the Superstar debuted last September and has returned a handful of time since, most recently in May 2025 by way of a pink colorway. The low-top Three Stripes icon is here given a rippled sole and ultra-breathable mesh upper, complete with the Chinese characters for “Superstar” and ample CLOT branding. This purple colorway aims to evoke mystique and spirituality, but nuanced storytelling aside, it’s a more than fitting choice to close out the summer months.

As with most Edison Chen adidas shoes, the CLOT Superstar Breathe “Purple” will debut exclusively through Chen’s JUICESTORE. Those who cop the sneaker from JUICE on August 15th will receive a matching drawstring backpack and two extra sets of laces; one in pink and one in yellow with a geometric pattern. The sneaker will likely see an additional adidas CONFIRMED drop later down the line, but no date has been announced as of this writing.
