There’s no denying Pharrell’s impact in the world of footwear and fashion. Merging his whimsical tastes with the distinguished Louis Vuitton and adidas Originals, Pharrell has once again established himself as one of the most important figures in the industry. For shoe fanatics, the Jellyfish is easily one of 2025’s most anticipated shoes; starting off with a first look way back in January at Paris Fashion Week, the compelling sneaker has been steadily sitting at the front of the hype machine, culminating in one of the biggest drops of the year.

After an initial Draw release on blackyachtrock.com, Pharrell and adidas Originals are ready to bring the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish to the world with an official drop on August 23rd. Combining the performance heritage of the Adistar running shoe and a unique aesthetic inspired by marine life, the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish is an exemplar of creatively reinterpreting a performance sneaker’s DNA.

The chunky silhouette is marked by a sculpted exterior mimicking the long tendrils and arms of a jellyfish. The launch colorway in orange has undoubtedly left a stinging impression, treatable only by copping the shoes.

Given the intense demand for the sneaker, the adidas VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish will be available on August 23rd via Confirmed App and select retailers for $300. Currently, the option to set a reminder is available ahead of the August 18th sign-up. Additionaly, Pharrell’s blackyachtrock.com has an open Draw as well (Draw has ended at 3PM ET).
