The adidas Superstar Tries On Denim

More unexpected touches on adidas' spotlighted model.

The adidas Superstar Tries On Denim

As far as exotic material executions go, and especially within the Three Stripes, cheetah prints still reign supreme. However, denim remains a sensible option for any footwear brand to bring some experimental flair and unexpected appeal to their offerings. With the adidas Superstar making some appearances in those buzzier applications, it’s only right that they’re a factor for the jeans treatment, now surfacing in two separate denim looks.

Two contrasting applications are on task, beginning with a grungy all-black. Built atop the Superstar 82 composition, aimed at recreating the original Made in France layout, washed patterns overcome the hardned fabric, bringing it closer to a dark grey in select splotches through the profile. At the quarter, you’ll find the biggest structural shift outside of the titular fabric, as the Three Stripes poke from underneath for an embossed flair rather than the usual stitched, tangible presentation. The partnering pair largely keeps the same script intac but opts for a different color-up, wearing more traditional blue hues on its exteriror while opting for white counterplay within the liner, laces, shell toe, and sole.

These two “Denim” adidas Superstar colorways are listed via select European retailers with a September 1st release date. Catch official images below and keep the attached “Where To Buy” widgets within reach for your chance to secure a pair upon arrival.
