The 30th birthday of the Nike Air Max 95 and subsequent “Big Bubble” treatment has remained a genuine heartbeat of sneakers in 2025. Though the OG “Neon” stole the show in the opening half of the year, the silhouette’s biggest moment in the latter will lean on a more traditional formula: collaboration. Official images of the Yu-Gi-Oh x Nike Air Max 95 “Jonouchi” allow us to further grasp the “stop the presses” upcoming collection.

Given that the “Air Muscle” was directly modeled (in a non-copyright infringing way, of course) after the original Nike Air Max 95 shortly after it hit the shelves, it tracks that the iconic grey gradient remained in the manga pages. Be it just as artistic license or a limit of the greyscale print, the contrast eyelet panel stands as the biggest divergence from the original arrangement; silver etchings into the midsole reflect the lighting effect from the manga. On a material basis, this shoe builds entirely out of mesh and leather, eschewing the suede that fans of the 110 have come to expect. For some final fan service flair, the Yuioh logo appears within the outsole and in graphic co-branded insoles.

The Yu-Gi-Oh x Nike Air Max 95 “Jonouchi” touches down on September 12th, but this colorway is exclusive to Japan. US customers will have to look to the “Joey Wheeler” edition and a range of apparel coming alongside.
