Baklava season is upon us. The rollout for the next Action Bronson New Balance project has earnestly begun, with the rapper taking matters (literally) into his own hands, gripping his two New Balance 992 editions after tacit-er teases on the red carpet and at his SoHo pop-up earlier in the year. The natural evolution of that ramp-up process is now at hand, as international retailers are already listing the Action Bronson New Balance 992 “Tiger Eye.”

Easily the more reigned-in of the duo, the New Balance 992 “Tiger Eye” immediately carries Bronson’s personal style, arguably more than any of his previous output. It feels like every other shot of the rapper finds him in a #33 away jersey, making the orange and blue hits on the tongue and sidewalls natural nods to the Mecca and his beloved Knicks. Famously spotted frequently in workwear as well, the tan pigskin suede further ties into his wardrobe. To round out the color scheme, tasteful black soles and collars pair with shimmering translucents at the heel. Interestingly enough, this chapter of the Action Bronson New Balance story goes understated in terms of branding, only utilizing the rapper’s trademarks with a debossed Baklava stamp on the heel counter.

Though we noted in previous coverage that Bronsoliño’s personal in-hand reveals usually predate actual releases by a few months, it appears he and the Boston brand are on a more truncated schedule this time around. Expect the Action Bronson x New Balance 992 to touch down sometime in September, carrying with it a $250 sticker price.
