The New Balance 990v6 “Dark Camo” Gives Major Beef & Broccoli Vibes

The New Balance Made In USA lineup for Fall/Winter 2025 is being heralded as one of the brand’s best in recent memory, with Teddy Santis and co. having crafted a compelling, season-appropriate lineup for the cooler months anchored mainly by earth tones. The New Balance 990v6 “Dark Camo” is proving to be an early favorite in online circles, taken with a “Beef & Broccoli” aesthetic comparable to Aimé Leon Dore’s New Balance 993 from 2021.

As shown by official retailer images, the sneaker features an olive-esque “Dark Camo” shade across mesh and premium suede/nubuck material. Dark brown hits on the underlays, tongue, and New Balance logos complete an unofficial “Beef & Broccoli” theme, while a black midsole – a rare sight on Made In USA models – caps off the delivery underfoot.

This makes two “Beef & Broccoli” New Balance sneakers by Made In USA creative head Teddy Santis, preceded by a strong Aimé Leon Dore collab on the 993 back in 2021. The “Dark Camo” 990v6 is part of the New Balance Made In USA program and not an ALD collaboration, but nonetheless, it helps push “Beef & Broccoli” as something of a signature Teddy Santis aesthetic. The Chinese dish nickname came into the footwear world through the rise of Timbs in New York in the ’90s, which makes it an apt reference for the Queens-based designer to revisit.

The New Balance 990v6 “Dark Camo” is expected to hit newbalance.com in October, but eager buyers can cop early through WOODstack. Budget for a $200 MSRP if these might slot into your autumn rotation.
