Converse Restocked The SHAI 001 “Butter” At OKC’s Only Sneaker Boutique

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s retail drop of his first signature shoe has exceeded expectations. The Converse SHAI 001 was met with huge fanfare upon its debut release on September 4th, selling out within minutes while drawing high demand in the aftermarket. The league MVP upped the ante by officially revealing the next batch of colorways on television, detailing the “Hail Clay”, “Masi Blue”, and “Charm Black” to Jimmy Fallon and the millions of Tonight Show viewers.

On September 13th, he and Converse continued to good times by re-releasing a small batch of the SHAI 001 “Butter” at Grinmore, the only sneaker boutique located in Oklahoma City. Founded in 2021, Grinmore has been serving the local community with high-heat footwear across all brands, but they’ve got the opportunity to be an incubator of the local energy now that SGA’s got the world on notice.

For the Saturday re-release, customers have camped out since Friday morning in anticipation of the re-release; hundreds wrapped the block before the store opened. Grinmore and Converse held a gaming tournament for NBA 2K26, the latest installment of the hoops sim franchise for which Shai Gilgeous-Alexander served as a cover athlete. In the end all the shoes were sold out completely.

The next confirmed Converse SHAI 001 releases land on October 2nd in three colorway.
