Nike Recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month With The Air Force 1

Updated October 7th, 2025: The Nike Air Force 1 “Breast Cancer AwAIRness” is available now at select retailers for $125.

Nike is thinking pink ahead of the upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. The Swoosh has long since contributed to the movement through for-charity sneaker releases such as Nike Basketball’s KD 18 “Aunt Pearl”, but the Swoosh is bringing Sportswear style to the movement in hopes to combine the everlasting spirit of the Air Force 1 with a crucial effort.

These two Air Force 1 colorways capture to motion of this movement through hits of pink, smooth and shiny satin uppers, and ribbon detailing at the heel. The pink ribbon is in fact the universal symbol of the cause, raising awareness and uniting families since 1992. Although that symbol has appeared on Nike shoes in the past, it’s never been part of the shoe design like we see here.

Additionally, Nike weaves in its own innovations and history into its efforts, adding an “AWAIRNESS” text on the right heel and appearing beneath the shoe bottoms through the semi-transparent rubber outsoles.

We surmise that a release is going down this October during the actual Breast Cancer Awareness month. Although not confirmed, we expect a portion of the proceeds (or potentially all) to go directly towards the cause. An MSRP is expected to be $125.
