The China-Exclusive Air Jordan 1 Low Retro OG “Xuan Wu” Continues The Year Of The Snake

The annual festivities surround the Chinese Zodiac typically happens at the beginning of the year, but at times we’ll be graced with some surprise projects later in the calendar year. Perhaps as a reminder of the tradition and leading into the upcoming Year Of The Horse in 2026, Jordan Brand is continuing the Air Jordan 1 “Xuan Wu” with a low-top execution later this Fall/Winter season.

Drawing inspiration from Chinese mythology, this Air Jordan 1 Low Retro OG “Xuan Wu” features a full black leather upper with an elegant pattern expressed on the heel. Inspired by snakes and tortoise shells, this ornate decoration appears carved into the upper to create an ancient look and feel.

Unlike the Air Jordan 1 High “Xuan Wu” from earlier this year in January, the low-top iteration features the tortoise shell colors on the translucent bottoms as well as the Nike Air hardware on the tongue logo.

There are some added touches of luxury such as the slimmed down ankle padding, the leather-wrapped laces, and even a leather tongue to justify the approximate $250 price-tag. A release is likely happening only in China, so Jordan collectors must prepare to either secure one through proxy, and get ’em on the aftermarket. Official images are just ahead, so stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for firmer updates.
