Love Is In The Air For The Nike Astrograbber “Gym Red”

The details are everything.

Love Is In The Air For The Nike Astrograbber “Gym Red”

We’re still early into the Nike Astrograbber story, having earnestly stepped back into the fold with a Bode collaborative streak spread over the past year and change. Likely aiming at the same slim-soled, simply constructed market share that the Field General had circled, we’ve so far seen two-tone GR colorways hit the net to date. However, perhaps more experimental fare is on the way, as a romantic version is afoot with the Nike Astrograbber “Gym Red.”

We’ll state the obvious up front: despite when these official images are rearing their head, in a vacuum, all signs would point to this being a Valentine’s Day drop. The soft velvet exteriors and rosy overall colorway stamp that from first glance, but even the finer details continue that atmosphere — from delicate studs dotting the profile to a 3D rose planted on the tongue. It’s not out of the question for Nike’s holiday-themed fare to be slightly inexact with its timing, but being so far removed from the February date is a bit beyond the pale. Even without those ties, this displays the versatility that the silhouette has in terms of texture, potentially a jumping-off point as Beaverton plots the silhouette’s next steps.

The Nike Astrograbber “Gym Red” doesn’t carry a concrete release date. Expect it to populate Nike.com and partnering retailers in the coming months, likely carrying a slight premium over the model’s usual $135 MSRP.
