If our coverage of the Nike Air Max 95 “Bright Ceramic” didn’t dredge up memories of the overseas-exclusive era, we’ll redouble our attempts to. There was a time when JD Sports was at the center of a side of sneaker collecting, issuing a litany of colorways for the 110 you could only pick up on their shelves.

Cut a decade and change later, the now-multinational retailer has looked to brands outside of the Swoosh for their limited engagements. The New Balance 1000 has been a particular favorite for JD and co., already visited this summer for an eclectic quartet of variants. Two seasons deeper into the calendar, we’re hard pressed not to think of that set as the New Balance 1000 “Grey/Burgundy” steps out of the shadows, particularly bearing resemblance to the steel and grey look included there. To their credit, the color team do plenty to differentiate this design, adding black suede mudguards and darker contrast notes within the rear ABZORB cushioning and “N” emblem.

At the time of publication, a release date for the JD Sports-exclusive New Balance 1000 “Grey/Burgundy” is unclear. However, you can discover exactly what to expect via the studio shots below.
