The Nike Mind 001 Slide Shines In “Solar Red”

Updated October 23rd, 2025: The Nike Mind 001 “Solar Red” is confirmed to release January 8th, 2026 for $95.

Original article published October 15th, 2025:

We’re officially in the slide wars. Stop us if you’ve heard us wax poetic on brands’ increasing willingness to step into far-flung verticals (hint: you have), but slides are an underreported aspect of that. What was once a write-off category has built some earnest energy behind it, from Nike’s ReactX Rejuven8 to PUMA’s MB.04 Slide to ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov’s STYRAX Breeze.

Beaverton has once again elbowed its way to the center of that conversation as the Nike Mind 001 Slide has come to light, building on the one-piece construction that the aforementioned recovery model utilized. There’s no doubt that this silhouette makes good on its industrial, futuristic title, from the pocked patch of fabric that runs down the toe, the perforated ridges on the sidewalls, and the bulging cushioning underfoot. For good measure, this dip into “Solar Red” redoubles that next-gen atmosphere, only interrupted by a vertical chrome Swoosh at the midfoot and “Hyper Crimson” bulbs below.

Though this makes two versions of the Nike Mind 001 Slide that we’ve seen to date, details regarding its market debut are still under wraps. Largely, you can look forward to the silhouette and the Nike Mind 001 Slide “Solar Red” specifically sometime in Spring 2026, retailing at $85.
