While he’s always worn multiple hats, 2025 may just be the year that stamps Action Bronson as a genuine Renaissance man. He’s added his most visible step onto the silver screen to a slate of responsibilities that includes music, cooking, hosting, producing, and everything in between. Of course, for us, his NB enterprise remains the object of fascination, now resulting in the Action Bronson New Balance 992 “Digitalis Purpurea.”
The timing here is only natural, coming on the heels of a Knicks-approved version of the same silhouette — a shoe that had been in the ether since his NYC pop-up earlier in the year. Though internal info pointed towards a second colorway, it’d take until the Caught Stealing premiere for us to get a look, making it only right that this “Digitalis Purpurea” becomes the follow-up edition.
It’s almost an inversion of the aforementioned “Tiger Eye,” utilizing earthy shades on the underlying mesh before flaring out into far more vibrant directions — of course, highlighted by magenta suede mudguards, but further manifesting with hot pink synthetic underlays and a baby blue lace unit. The chef-turned-rapper-turned-chef has always had a penchant for the eye-catching, previously delivered with the “Baklava” 990v6 or “Rosewater” 1906R, but this instantly becomes a contender for his most expressive edition to date.
