Inspired by the shop's walls.

No Comply Takes On The Numeric 480 For Its First New Balance Collab

If you’re an Austin skater, chances are you’re familiar with No Comply. Located right by the highly acclaimed House Park Skatepark, the shop was founded in 2007 by skaters, for skaters, and is consistently doing things to support the community — fundraising, contests, professional demos… you name it.

Now, No Comply is checking off a first with its debut collaboration with New Balance Numeric, working on the Numeric 480 silhouette. The sneaker takes inspiration from the shop’s interior with a slew of thoughtful details. First, a premium green leather upper matches the color of the shop’s walls. The Numeric 480 logo on the tongue draws from the shop’s floor, while gold stitching on the midsole nods to the shelves that stock the store’s extensive deck collection. Custom insoles feature art pulled directly from the fitting room walls, and a debossed No Comply logo lands on the heel tab.

Of course, the sneaker is accompanied by its own skate video featuring those close to the shop (embedded above). No Comply has collaborated with Vans and adidas in the past, but this marks the brand’s first link-up with New Balance Numeric.

No Comply’s New Balance Numeric 480 releases in-store at No Comply on October 25th at 10:00 AM local time. Any remaining pairs will go live online at 7:00 PM local time. An additional limited release via select skate shops nationwide will occur on October 31st, followed by a NewBalance.com drop on November 3rd. See detailed images below if you’re planning to scoop a pair.
