Throughout his 2025 endeavors, Ja Morant has been clear about one thing: he’s heading up any far-ahead previews of what his footwear empire will behold. In doing so, the All-Star gave us our first look at the shoe featured here, sharing Instagram shots of this sunny colorway alongside “Scratch” and crystalline versions of the Uptown.

Now, the start of that Ja Morant Air Force 1 Low series is upon us as the “Let Me Be Ja” stares down a public release. The black and yellow pair prints its title on the medial side, removing a Swoosh in the process and adding a mini Swoosh that almost mirrors the one that juts through the midsole of the Ja 3. “12:AM” brands on the heel, embossed Ja logos on the heel counter, and a “TMT” lace dubrae add some personalized character in the margins.

Our readership should readily know that 2025 is a recent high point in the Nike Basketball x Nike Air Force 1 legacy, yet there really is a rich history of this type of endeavor. Modern looks for LeBron James and Kobe Bryant join a deep canon for either athlete; notably, the return of the Mamba’s “Linen” portrait pair brings the “The New Six” back to the fore, in which Rasheed Wallace, Vince Carter, Amare Stoudemire, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili (the Argentinian in an unreleased sample) joined the two Lakers legends. A bit less than a decade later, Kyrie Irving hit the Uptown the same year he earned his first Swoosh signature before Devin Booker coined his “Moss Point” colorway on Bruce Kilgore’s design.
