Matt Varga Though the Virgil Abloh Archive showcase in Paris is now in the rearview, we’re still feeling the aftereffects of the monumental exhibition. On top of providing an early look at the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High “Alaska,” unbeknownst to us, we got a sneak peek at another chapter in the renewed history of the multi-hyphenate.
News is now trickling out that the Virgil Abloh Archive x Nike Cryoshot Tiempo is set for a release in the Summer 2026 season. This nugget comes on the heels of launch updates for the original “Cryoshot” pairs previewed by Nike, adding translucent underfoot cages onto earnest performance silhouettes in the Tiempo and Mercurial. Shortly after that inline preview, on-foot shots of a Patta collaboration confirmed that the Swoosh would look to their collaborative partners to further add shine to this trasnformed vertical; bringing Virgil Abloh’s vaunted design hallmarks into the mix no doubt marks a step up in that regard.
To that end, the snowy all-white arrangement seen in the shots ahead won’t blow anyone away, but the vaunted creative’s presence is nonetheless felt with the iconic “AIR” text toward the heel. An oversized zip tie, obviously also a trademark of Abloh during his Swoosh tenure, adds a further link back. Again, the Virgil Abloh Archive x NIke Cryoshot Tiempo is expected out sometime in the Summer ’26 window (sometime between April and June).
