The road to this point has been anything but straightforward. The sneaker first appeared on the feet of Fragment founder Hiroshi Fujiwara back in 2022 — an alternate sample colorway of the three-way AJ1 Low collaboration that debuted a year prior. Reports last summer confirmed that the shoe would indeed see a public release, with September 2025 originally pegged as the target date. Travis later announced a November 2025 launch, which many (now rightfully, in retrospect) suspected would line up with his Circus Maximus tour stop in Tokyo. A three-headed pop-up activation in Tokyo only stoked the flames surrounding this colorway.

Here are the facts: Nike has announced Hijacked: A Tokyo Bay Takeover — a one-night-only event in Japan on November 7th celebrating the release of the new Travis Scott shoes. Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus performance in Tokyo is scheduled for Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at the Belluna Dome in Saitama. Despite wide rumors of an online drop to coincide with that concert, that day came and went as the “SOON” text remained on Scott’s site.
